Laurea in Scienze Geologiche conseguita il 22/7/1994 presso l’Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II” con Tesi sperimentale: “Petrologia delle rocce Plio-Pleistoceniche della Sardegna centro-meridionale e dei noduli ultrafemici associati”.

Dottore di Ricerca in Petrologia dal 28/4/1999. Tesi: “Petrogenesis of Plio-Quaternary volcanic rocks from Sardinia: possible implications on the evolution of the European subcontinental mantle” Universita’ degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II”.

Dosaggio degli elementi maggiori ed in traccia di roccia totale tramite ICP-AES, ICP-MS, XRF, dosaggio degli elementi maggiori ed in traccia di minerali e fasi vetrose tramite EMP e LAM-ICP-MS. Misurazione dei rapporti isotopici in roccia totale ed in separati di minerale delle sistematiche Rb-Sr, Sm-Nd, U-Th-Pb, Re-Os, Lu-Hf, O.
